My favorite breakfast joint in CC. Why? Because you can get lunch anytime. I do really love the single pancake with 1 sausage. Just about Perfect for my appetite. But my favorite is the prime rib French dip. Not the fancy one with cheese and veggies, but the straight up plain one. I can't get through a half on my own so I usually drag it home with the side salad and eat on it for a couple days. Not bad for $12 and change. Super nice people. I like the outdoor seating, good attentive service and a fun old building

My wife and I can always count on a very nice lunch at Mom and Pop's. We have never been disappointed here over the past 9 years. We find the prices very reasonable, they have something for everybody, a very complete menu. There are many places to eat breakfast and lunch in Carson City, but we never have the desire to go anywhere else, we find great food at reasonable prices here. P.S. The sweet fries are the best we have eaten, anywhere!

The food was very good but the price for what you get was a little steep. The service was very good. We sat outside as it was a beautiful morning.

What a pleasant place to eat brunch today! The weather was perfect in the shade and it was fun to people watch from the outdoor patio. Everything we ordered came out delicious. I had a Philly cheesesteak made with prime rib and my lovely wife had her favorite French toast. The restaurant is dog friendly and although we don't have a dog, the ones in attendance today were well behaved. The only thing that was off was not the fault of the restaurant but the one directly across the walking street, Firken Fox? Anyway there was a chain smoker out side and occasionally when the breeze went the wrong way we were treated to that disgusting smell. Otherwise the service at this restaurant was great and they left us wanting for nothing.

Met "Pops" Jr and he was such a friendly and hospitable man. Definitely gives you the mom & pops diner feel the moment you walk in. Food was amazing! Went during lunchtime but breakfast is served all day so I had to try the french toast! Also, the cinnamon roll is MASSIVE but it is a must try!

Cute place we happened upon on a drive to Carson on Veteran's Day. We were unsure if we wanted breakfast or lunch so this place worked out. They have breakfast and lunch specials Monday-Friday. Breakfast specials stop at 11:00 and then the lunch specials start. It's just two rooms with about 20 tables. Tables can be moved for larger parties. It is decorated in a tropical theme with some little Christmas trees scattered about. My Reuben was good, the bread was toasted perfectly and they serve our favorite type of fried-steak fries!! Hubby's blue cheese burger was cooked a little rarer than he likes but flavors were there. A slight hint of blue cheese that didn't over power. This would be a nice place to eat on a beautiful spring day. They have outside seating when the weather cooperates.

Went there for lunch with a couple friends 2 days. It's in an old building. Inside was decorated in a Hawaiian theme. Small place but nice. We were advised by the server that she was the only server working but she would try her best to get everyone served in the restaurant. Well she did way better than other restaurants with a bunch of servers. The service in my mind was excellent. We didn't wait long for our food and she kept our drinks full while we waited. I ordered the eggs Benedict. It was cooked good. Maybe the eggs were just a tad bit undercooked but still edible. There was enough hollandaise sauce for the whole meal. I also opted for the pops potatoes. I guess the pops potatoes is made in house as opposed to the hash browns. It tasted like they sprinkled a little sugar on the potatoes. Kind of weird. Potatoes are already sort of bad for you. But then you add sugar? Oh well it tasted ok. I also ordered a cinnamon roll to go. That thing was huge and it tasted good. I had to warm it in the microwave. It was soft and had plenty of frosting. All in all, I'd come back and try something different. I liked this place.
